Chapter 1

The wind whipped Navila’s fox fur sweater. She put her rose red hands into her furry pockets. The pine trees shed their withered and dry leaves to the ground with a soft “Shula,” like sound. The white season came early this year. And all because one very dumb man slew his holy dog. So, the gods punished him and it affected all of them.                                                                                                                
As Eleanor was walking she saw her holy dogs howl at the half-crescent moon.  It was getting late, and she suspected she and her German Shepherd and Husky should head home. The snow was starting to glitter with moonlight and light up the water droplets on the grass green leaves. She wore her soft boots and made music with them as they crunched through the white snow. She happily walked down the snow-white Kin-narial-winna mountain. Navila had planned to slide down the mountain, but instead, used the path. Kin-narial winna mountain was a large snowy hill which sent different clans with all different stories and tales. Eleanor’s clan had a tale. This is the tale...

The Tale of The Mountain Clan

Once there was a mountain. Back then, it was called ”Kinjo mountain” Kinjo mountain had humans whom all had a husky as a young child, and a German Shepherd as a 10-year-old to an adult. We still use that tradition today don’t we! Then all those clan members day by day dumped the snow off the mountain to make it farmland and an inhabitable place. Over hundreds of years the mountain became hot and started to wither and die. So, all the people were sad, so they started to dump snow back on. But the men sunk into the mountain and froze to death. All of their bones snapped, and they died from frostbite. That was their punishment. Today, our mountain is nice and pretty.

That is that tale.

Eleanor made it down to her clan and dove into her cave and laughed as she landed into her warm bed of rotting soft logs. Her dogs followed behind and trotted past her to play with their chicken bones. She smiled and she crawled to the other end of her cave. Navila lit a fire with dry forest wood and had a happy vibe as she saw her sister, Sandra. The fire crackled as Eleanor got near it to sit next to Sandra. Sandra was hysterically laughing and watching her dogs try to eat the fire and then shake their heads.

 “Sandra, we should get to bed," Navila told her. “

Okay!” She replied. They went into their pile of rotting logs and curled up into a ball.                                                      All the dogs howled and walked out of the caves. Navila’s dogs went outside and stood at the middle of the clan caves. The homes were in the center of a pine forest and in the shape of a wolf. The dogs met in the middle of the caves and had a chat. “Woof!” “Woof!” “Ruff!” “Woof!” “Aooooooooooooo!!!” “ArtArt!” “Gruff!” All the dogs talked through the night.
