How to get your budgie tame: Tame like I tamed Tiki: Very St
Step 1: What type of bird?
Do you have an extremely muted bird or a normal bird? If your bird is extremely muted like the bird on the left, then this technique will not work, so click on the button below. If your bird looks like the one on the right, this will work.
Step 2: Out Of Their Comfort zone
Look up online how to get a bird to step up. This is everywhere online. Then, get him or her on your finger and pull them out of the cage as quickly as possible. If they start to pant, this technique will not work otherwise, you will be fine. This does not always work but for some birds it does, like Tiki and he is six now. Quickly whip them out of their cage once or twice a day for a week. DO NOT do this in your first week with the bird. Be careful because this may go wrong. This is a special technique I do with my birds. Click below for the more normal way of training, mine is very strange and may not work.
Step 3: Toys
Place your budgie on toys. For an example, when I was little I would place Tiki on my playmobile waterslide. If this does not work, forget about this step. Tiki was sick so he was okay with this step.
Step 4: Natural Love
Some people trick train their birds with treats. But I did not. Tiki comes to me for love and bonding. When they are older, you can give them trick training but Tiki never needed any treats. If your little fella does not want to step up then you may give him or her seeds.
Step 5: Always tame
if you want your budgie to be always tame, give her or him no other bird companions for 1 year or 10 months. This will make a closer bonding with your bird. When Tiki came to live with us, he only had 1 friend, Ramses, the green cheek conure, but, Ramses was vicious and would try to kill him so THAT was no companion, and then we waited a year and then got Himalaya the cockatiel. They were friends until Himalaya died. So me and all my family members have helped Tiki his whole life. Now, Tiki helps train all of our new birds. If you already have a bird, do not worry about this step!

A little bit about Tiki...
Tiki was our first budgie. We were at the pet store when we were looking for a dove. But all of the doves were sick and walking backwards. So we decided to get a budgie. I was scared when I heard they bit people because we had a vicious (but smart) conure.
